Happy One Year Anniversary

Heavenly Father on this beautiful Wednesday morning I want to give You praise for bringing Living vs Existing to this significant milestone. Today as I celebrate my one year anniversary, I will continue to put my trust in YOU for the direction of this blog and my life. I ask You Father, to continue to bless me, my blog, its readers and subscribers so that we are blessed by each posts in some way. I surrender myself  to YOUR influence.

May Living vs Existing continue to bring enlightenment, encouragement, understanding, joy and hope to all who visit. I leave the success of this blog in Your hands.  All the favour and growth it receives is because of You so thank you. In Jesus name, I pray and give thanks. Amen!

A special thank you to ALL of my readers and subscribers who continue to visit, support and give encouragement.  You are ALL greatly appreciated and I am blessed to be included in your lives. May we be blessed as we continue to support and lift each other up. 🙂

As we move into the uncertainty of 2018 and beyond, the only thing we can be certain of is that God is GOD today, tomorrow and forever.  He wants us close to Him.  He wants us to know His love is NOT like earthly fickle love.  He wants to rescue us from all the heartache and pain.  He wants us to walk in His favour and confidence sure of WHO He is and who we ARE not who we were.  The only voice to trust is HIS.

Thank you for making this blog one of your stops in this journey called life.

This day is a great one so go out and enjoy it. 🙂

Cheers to US in 2018!

Happy January 1st to each of you!

Thank you Lord for bringing each of us into this new chapter of our lives.

Unfortunately, some of our loved ones did not make the transition with us but they are NOT forgotten and the memories and love we have for them will keep them alive in us forever.

With this new day, I can’t help but feel like the refresh and reset buttons on my life have been pressed giving me that renewed feeling.  I went outside and took a few deep breaths appreciating all the beauty that is around me and just had to give God praise.

It was that beauty and sense of peace that prompted these reminders I would like to share with you for the New Year.

As we wake up each day let us never forget that:

  • Each day brings with it an opportunity for GROWTH and LEARNING
  • Each day will have lessons to be TAUGHT and lessons to be LEARNT.
  • Each day gives us a chance to BE better towards not only others but towards OURSELVES.
  • To be GRATEFUL for each day we are blessed to see, touch and love those we hold dear to us.
  • Our TIME and LIFE are PRECIOUS and we should make the most of each day.
  • Lastly, with the POWER of our faith, thoughts, words and actions we CAN achieve ALL that we set my minds to this year and beyond.

May 2018 not only meet our expectations but exceed them.  Taking each of us into bigger and brighter futures than we never even dreamed possible.

As always, thank you for making this blog one of your stops in this journey called life.

Be Happy, Get Happy

Be happy, get happy

Right now in this moment,

Right where you are

I dare you!

Near or far shine bright

Like the star that you ARE!!!

Be happy, get happy

Because it may be your last chance

When you walk out that door

You don’t know how your day will go

Those who love you, may never know

Be happy, get happy

Laugh, love, explore, feel the warmth of the earth at your core

Understand, appreciate, be grateful and don’t deviate

Are you really still sitting there thinking twice?

After all this is your life

Get up! Be happy, get happy

Sure life is not perfect, that does not mean we’re not worth it

It’s the imperfection of life that drives us to want MORE for ourselves and others

It’s the imperfection that keeps us exploring, inventing, dreaming and pursuing bigger

and brighter things.

Some questions we may be fortunate to answer

Others we may need to leave for another

Don’t sweat the small the stuff

Life is just too short to be spent in constant worry

Be happy, get happy.

Make a conscious effort to make each day a great one.  We may not have control over every aspect of our lives but we DO have control over MOST of it.  So make the MOST out of what you have! 🙂

Thanks for stopping by.

I Will…

spring-bird-2295431__340

I will laugh whenever I can because it makes me feel good.

I will sing because that is when I truly hear myself.  🙂

I will dance because the sound of the music is pleasing to my ear.

I will listen because when I do I open the door for knowledge and wisdom to enter.

I will show compassion for others because it is the right thing to do.  If the situation were reversed I would want someone to care about me too.

I will pray because prayer soothes my soul and helps free my mind from worry.

I will help whenever and wherever I can because it feels good to give back.

I will praise the Lord at all times because he has shown me his mercy and favour even when there maybe times I don’t realise it or deserve it.

I will not make promises I know I can’t keep.

I will not make unrealistic expectations for myself or others.

I will be grateful for everything I have no matter how little it is.

I will not be complacent because that is not a good look for me. 🙂

I will actively pursue my happiness in everything I do starting with my thoughts.

I will love and cherish the people in my life who genuinely love and care about me.

I will love myself because even with the imperfect parts I am still a wonderful and beautiful person.

I will always appreciate and be grateful for my readers because they inspire me to do what I do.

It is important from time to time to list for ourselves what we want and don’t want for and from ourselves.

Have a wonderful night.  Thank you for reading.

Grateful

Good Morning and pleasant Monday greetings to you all.

I am sorry for my inactivity over the last few days but around this time of the year for my family and I it gets intensely hectic as we typically host our Annual Christmas Extravaganza.

I am pleased to report that the event was a success and just keeps getting better and better every year!  Our supporters left happy and satisfied not only with their food and products but with the high quality of service they received.  This made us so happy.  A tremendous amount of work and time goes into the planning, decorating and cooking so it is always good to see and hear their satisfaction and appreciation for all we do.

We are very grateful for their continued support and we know that the first-time supporters would definitely be back next year.  God has been and continues to be good to us and we just want to say, THANK YOU Lord for ALL you do, have done and will do in our lives as well as the lives of the people we are fortunate to be a part of.

This event would not be the success that it is without the amazing team we have. I am and will always be grateful for my family.  I pray and ask God to continue to bless, protect and guide each and every one of us in all that we do.

Have a wonderful day everyone and remember to be grateful for everything you have no matter how little or insignificant you may think it is.  To someone less fortunate your blessing is a big deal and would make a big difference in his or her life.

The Miranda Sings Award (originally posted 25.09.2017)

Thank you Roda for nominating me for this award.  It is the first time I have received it and I’m grateful that you thought of sharing it with me.  Roda blogs over at Growing Self and trust me when I tell you this she is amazing and very inspirational. You won’t regret visiting so be sure to check her out.

The Miranda Sings Award is all about Self Love.  🙂  So let’s get into it.

Rules:

  • Announce your win with a post, and link the blogger who nominated you.
  • Include the featured image on your blog post.
  • Nominate 10 bloggers (or as many as you can think of) and link your awardees in the post.
  • List 7 things you love about yourself. (This can be about your appearance, your personality, your achievements, etc.)
  • Don’t use negative connotation (i.e. Don’t say things like – “I’m prettier than an average person.” or “People have told me I’m smart.” You are pretty. You are smart.)

7 things I love about myself:

  • I love my strength of mind, body and spirit.  It took me some time to learn and truly appreciate just how strong I was but the journey was worth it. I pray that I never forget! 🙂

  • I love that I can learn most things very quickly.  I just have to put my mind to it.

  • I love seeing my creative side shine  Whether it is writing poetry, writing an inspirational piece, designing or painting each experience brings with it a feeling of accomplishment and joy.

  • I love my ability to help inspire and encourage others.  It feels good helping others see the good and positive things in themselves that have always been there but just hidden.

  • I love and accept the way God has chosen to craft me both inside and out.

  • I love that I take my role as a mother seriously.  There are so many children out there not receiving the love, care and attention that they need and it breaks my heart.  We have been entrusted not only as mothers but as parents with a responsibility to care, nurture and protect the lives we’ve been blessed with and we need to do our part.

  • I love that I now understand that happiness is where I make it.  If we live our lives relying on others to make and keep us happy then we set ourselves up for disappointment.

My nominees are:

  1. Simple Ula
  2. Hussein Allam
  3. Sar Wanders
  4. Cheila
  5. Shinavyblogspot
  6. Theworldoffritters
  7. DreamingofGuatemala
  8. Lifemorethanexistance
  9. Dippy-Dotty Girl
  10. Elsie LMC
  11. LifeofAngela
  12. Adrianna J
  13. Oldhouseintheshires
  14. Heartsinink
  15. Reactionarytales

I understand that not everyone chooses to be a part of the award nomination process. If you choose to take part, that would be fantastic! If not, no pressure! Just keep writing…♥

Thanks for stopping by.
