Christmas Vibes

It’s that special time of year, when those you love draw near

There’s just something magical about the atmosphere

That no other season can compare

Maybe it’s the music, maybe it’s the food

Maybe it’s the beautiful decorations that get us in the mood

The presence of family and friends

Laughter and cheer is more than enough to remind us who really care

Christmas time though is not all Ho! Ho! Ho! Ho! for everyone

For some Christmas is just no fun 🙁

As it is a reminder of those who have gone

The memories can hit us like a powerful mist

Often so strong we spend countless days trying to dismiss

Christmas brings us together for a few days in December

But we should always remember

We never stop loving our loved ones because they aren’t here

For they will always be special and dear

So never despair

Cherish the people you still have here

And let’s commemorate those who can’t be there.

Best wishes for the season.   Have a wonderful evening.

Thank you for stopping by.  🙂

Music Reflection Mondays #6

Welcome back to Music Reflection Mondays! I had a really hectic day so music is definitely going to be my choice tonight to unwind and relax.  Hope your day was not as intense as mine. 🙂

As you all know, music is my go to for relaxation and just improving my overall mood. I wrote this little piece about how music makes me feel. Hope you like it.

Music is like a glass of wine at the end of a long day

If you listen closely your body might start to sway

However, not all music is designed to make you feel this way

Some are great at soothing the soul, others make you want to lose control

Creating some memories you don’t ever want re-told

The lyrics, the music, all make you connect

Sometimes to beautiful memories you don’t ever want to forget

So although some music is good for relaxation

There are some that are good to help with frustration

Whatever you’re going through there is a song out there for you

So if you ever feel sad and blue

Get a good song you could relate to

Because someone out there has probably been your shoe

Let the music lift you up

And as Michael Jackson said, “Don’t Stop Til You get enough” 🙂

Thanks for stopping by. Have a wonderful week.

Difficult Moments

During our most difficult moments there is often a lesson to be learnt, strength to be gained or a new purpose or direction to follow.

In such times it is easy for us to be consumed by our emotions but it is important that we not let the pain we feel swallow us up.

If we do, we might end up missing an opportunity for growth.

Cry if you have to, talk about how you feel, take a few days to reflect if you must but whatever you do:

Difficult moments are just that moments! Learn from them and move forward.
