Hopelessness is that feeling deep down on the inside that tells you:
Don’t bother trying anymore!
What’s the point anyway!
You’re all alone!
No one cares!
Hopelessness looks at the situations we’ve failed to get ourselves out of and convinces us it is over. My friends, when we go through life without the knowledge of Jesus Christ, who He is, what He represents and how much He loves us, it is easy to get caught up in feelings of hopelessness.
The truth is, even in what may seem like a hopeless situation with Jesus Christ on our side, there is always the possibility of a favourable outcome. With Jesus, there is always hope, because there is:
No situation too difficult for Him.
No problem too big for Him.
No such thing as impossible for Jesus Christ.
No matter how hopeless your situation may appear today, I want you to know that Jesus wants to help. He wants to deliver you out of it. He wants to show up in your life and do great things. Through Jesus, there is deliverance for all those who believe and trust in Him.
No matter where we are in our lives right now, Jesus Christ will meet us right where we are to take us where we’re meant to be.
He loves us even though some of us don’t know Him. His love for us is so great that He came to this world, to die for our sins and rose again so that we can have life and not death. This is true love.
We have a choice to make, life or death? Once we choose Jesus, we will not only have life but we will have it more abundantly.
We must ask God to forgive our sins and surrender who we were. Choosing to walk in the truth of who we have become as we are now one with Him.
In closing, I leave you with this, hopelessness is a symptom of a deficiency in Jesus Christ. The only way to cure hopelessness is through reading the word of God daily; meditating in it and applying it to our lives. Believing in it more than what is before your everyday senses of sight, hearing and touch.
Don’t walk around anymore embracing the lie that hopelessness teaches us instead let us choose to embrace and hold on tightly to : truth, hope and love, that is, Jesus Christ.
Thank you for making this blog one of your stops on this journey called life.
Life is often viewed as a race and I think that’s because we’re always looking at how well those around us seem to be doing when compared to us. When we do this, we often neglect the beauty and the blessings going on within our own lives that we should be grateful for.
The truth is, how well we do in our own race called life is dependent on how well we handle the challenges and the lessons along the way.
Now ask yourself this:
How high am I prepared to jump over my hurdles to get to my destination?
How badly do I want to see my dreams come through?
What or who am I prepared to let go of to move forward into my destiny?
Based on your answers to those questions. Here are some things we would need to do to start running our own races more effectively.
1. Seek to align our lives with the word of God. When we seek God’s word and try to apply it to our lives amazing things happen. We experience improvement in our relationships, business, workplace, our kids, our health, our thinking and behaviour as well as our finances. God’s word provides guidance, understanding, breakthroughs, wisdom and peace.
2. Take control of our thoughts. We can do this if we stop worrying about the race ahead of us and just tackle it one hurdle at a time.
3. Focus on the race in front of you. Stop focusing on the race the other runners are running.
4. Magnify our strengths and work on our weaknesses. Stop comparing our race to the race other runners are in.
5. Stop complaining. Recognize that each race is different just as each runner is different. Each runner and race has its own challenges so count your blessings.
6. Recognize and understand that our success or failure in our race is based on the reconditioning of our mind. We have to set a right attitude, build and use a vocabulary that is full of positivity.
7. Recognize that what we choose to put our trust and faith in affects our outcome.
8. Choose to see the beauty and opportunity in it rather than the obstacles.
9. Learn to ignore and distance ourselves from negative people. Don’t allow their noise to distract or discourage you.
10. Lastly, recognizing that falling from time to time is part of the process and is therefore normal. Remember, the real winners at the end of the race would be those individuals who got back up and kept running till the very end.
No matter what your race track in life looks like, trust that God is in control. Understand that all you need to do is tap into His strength and not your own to finish the race.
Like a race car on the track when it stops for the pit crew to make sure everything is in order. We have a pit crew there for us also. God the Father, Jesus Christ His Son and the Holy Spirit. We’re not alone in our race although it may sometimes feel like that.
God is always there cheering us on every step of the way. We have to merely ask for His intervention and hand control of the steering wheel of our lives over to Him.
We want God to just get us to the finish line without having to stop, learn, fight or overcome anything. God loves us far too much for that. He wants us to grow and overcome our weaknesses. He will hold our hand while we learn, lift us up when we fall but we have to still do some of the work.
So run your own race and don’t focus on anyone else. Trust your heavenly pit crew to see you through. God wants to help us in every area of our lives but we have to ask for His help which is the easy part. The challenge comes when we have to let go of the steering wheelof our lives and sit back. When we learn this, something amazing happens – we see life in a whole new way.
So trust Him to see you through to the end. As you run your race and I run mine let us make every effort to learn, grow and enjoy the good that is in our lives. When the challenges come just say,” Lord, I know you got this!“

Many times we go through life constantly trying to fix, repair, arrange and change everything and everyone around us. We’re always PUSHING. However, when life PUSHES us we naturally PUSH back. The end result is not always in our favour.
The thing is, the majority of us struggle in this area because we are always trying within our own strength, understanding and wisdom to PUSH and fix, change or manipulate the world around us without once considering improving the world within ourselvesfirst.
As a result, we 9 out of 10 times end up feeling frustrated, depressed, angry, stressed out and unhappy. We will always fail when we try to go after or try to sustain happiness outside of ourselves. So, how do we begin the transformation process needed within ourselves?
I have initiated certain steps in my own life that I use today and WILL use tomorrow and the next day in my journey towards a better me. Let’s take a look.
Step One – STOP PUSHING and START PULLING
Acknowledge and recognise that we cannot in our own strength fix ourselves. We NEED a power greater than ourselves to repair, heal and fix those areas within us that we are unable to fix. That power is called Jesus Christ. When we stop pushing God away and keeping Him out of our daily lives and start pulling Him closer – something amazing happens. 😉
Step Two – SEEK FORGIVENESS
Genuinely confess and ask for God for His forgiveness for ALL the wrong we have done with all of our heart. I believe that when we do this, this opens up the door for God to work miracles and do other wonderful works in our lives. This process helps lighten the load and weight that so many of us carry with us emotionally, mentally and spiritually.
Step Three – PRAY AND READ THE BIBLE DAILY
Actively seek God daily through prayer and reading the bible (His word). When we practice this we are building and strengthening our relationship with God as we gain understanding and knowledge of Him. This takes our lives to a whole other level. Our eyes, ears and hearts are suddenly open. I would like to refer to this feeling as the “level up or power up through Jesus Christ”.
Step Four – BE HUNGRY AND THIRSTY FOR GOD AND SEEK HIM DAILY
Talk to God every day because our relationship with Him should not be a Sunday thing or one day a week when we go to church. It should be a conscious daily walk with Him. Why? The challenges that we faced before accepting Jesus Christ as our Lord and Saviour would not just disappear overnight. However, it is through His guidance and grace would we not only see our situations differently but get His divine intervention to bring us through them every single time. 🙂
Step Five – LET GO, TRUST AND BELIEVE
We can become successful in our areas of ‘discomfort’ if we learn to LET GO of the worry and fear that so often accompanies them. However, in order for us to do that we must TRUST God’s plan for us and BELIEVE that He would not leave us to suffer or fail.
We can’t simply talk the talk as true believers in Jesus Christ but we must walk the walk.
It is our faith and trust in God that opens up the Heavens and allows the favour and blessings of God to flow in our lives. This is where our success, power and ability to succeed in our circumstances comes from. We must never forget that.
In my own journey to become the woman God needs me to be I pray that He continues to transform my life, my heart, my mind and spirit as He takes me to places and new levels I’ve never even dreamed of. Opening doors, creating opportunities and washing my life inside and out with His favour, mercy and grace as I obey His word and place my trust in Him. In Jesus name. Amen.
Don’t take my word for it. Pray and talk to God for yourself and as you humble yourself before Him ask for his guidance in your affairs and thank Him for being apart of your life. Stop doing things your way, stop depending on anyone else but God for your happiness, deliverance, wisdom, strength, courage, healing, understanding, favour and blessing. Make this investment in YOU today.
If you have read through this post in its entirety then I believe God has already awoken something deep inside of you but only YOU can let Him in. If you are already a believer then there may have been something here He needed you to see. Talk to God today and ask Him to help you BE all He needs you to be.

Today is the 31st of December, officially the last day of 2017 and I just wanted to give thanks for the ALL that I endured, learned and achieved over the last few months.
2017 without a doubt had its challenging moments for the majority of the year right up to June to be exact. However, I refused to lose faith and hope and believed with all my being that things just had to get better.
Giving up was just not an option I could afford. My efforts to improve my situation just seemed to never be enough so I turned to God. I got to a point where I believed only a miracle could resolve all of my problems. I prayed and prayed and declared over my life that this year was going to be the beginning of a new chapter, a better and brighter chapter of my life and ALL that was holding me back would be no more.
And you know what, God delivered me and my family from the constraints, obstacles and limitations that seemed to plague us for years. He gave us a clean and fresh slate. No we didn’t win the lottery but honestly I prayed that we would but God had different plans for us. I’m just as satisfied with the alternative.
2017 has given me so much to be grateful for.
I started my very own blog on January 31st 2017 titled livingvsexisting.com. This has given me much joy and greater purpose in my life.
God created a way out of financial debt when I could not see any. With God nothing is impossible. No problem is too big or too small for Him. Trust me. 🙂
God through his grace has blessed my family with a new vehicle.
God brought me to this blogging community and gifted me with the pleasure of meeting and learning from some very amazing, talented and special people who I would probably not have met if I had not taken that step on January 31st 2017 to join.
God has blessed my family with so much this year after years and years of obstacles, challenges and limitations that at some points I thought he had forgotten about us. I realize now that he needed us to endure and work through the pain and not lose faith and hope. He was testing our commitment to the process and ultimately to Him.
The strength and power that comes from having a strong support system encouraging and cheering for your success. My family has definitely been that force in my life and for them I am forever grateful.
God’s protection throughout the year not only over myself but each and every member of my family and our dwellings. His precious blood, favour and mercy has kept the enemy at bay and we are truly grateful for this.
The woman who I am becoming. 🙂
My writing skills and material has improved and grown so much in this time.
The wisdom and knowledge that I have acquired that has helped to not only improve my life but the lives of those who read my posts.
The support and encouragement I have received from this blogging community as well as other supporters of my blog. I am genuinely thankful for each of you. May God continue to bless you all.
Seeing God’s favour at work in my life.
You see my friends no matter how challenging 2017 was I’ve learnt that we have to trust in the bigger picture. The challenging moments are meant to prepare us for what is to come. You need to persevere! Sometimes in order to do that we need to look past the difficulty and look towards a brighter and better future. Don’t see yourself as stuck but rather as passing through.
As we leave 2017 behind let us leave the negative experiences behind choosing to take with us the lessons learnt along the way and the happy moments we’ve had.
May 2018 be everything God wants for you and more. God has not forgotten about you. Trust in Him and He WILL see you through.
Have a wonderful day. Happy New Year in advance from my family to yours.
Expectation without action is just a desire or a dream.
For expectations to become reality – effort, persistence and hard work MUST step forward.
So let’s try PUSHING the door and if that does not work we’ll try PULLING it! Either way standing still will get us NOTHING.
Boldly pursue your dream if that will make you truly happy. Whatever you choose to do, don’t waste time standing by the door hoping and waiting for someone else to allow you entry. They would probably be too busy chasing their own dreams to help you find YOURS.
The good news is, you have a DREAM and that is more than some people can say. All you need to do now is actively see where this desire or passion will take YOU. 🙂 So be proactive rather than reactive.
Make this weekend a great one! Thank you for stopping by. 🙂
Your intentions are clear and it’s just to cause despair
We both know deep down you don’t truly care
A storm is brewing
And as the darkness fills your head
I hope you know your actions you’ll someday dread
The games you play will catch up with you one day
There’s no excuse and you can’t call a truce
For with all of your internal turmoil
Your own plans you will foil
I refuse to return to the old days
No more manipulation and stringing’ me along
So keep your distance
I have a new found persistence
Brighter days are ahead
So it’s time for us to put this issue to bed
A storm is brewing
As you attempt to disturb my peace and joy
These lives you will not destroy like some kind of toy
I’ll secure all that is near and dear to me
And trust in the Lord to deliver me
A sweet victory.
We all face various storms in our lives and I’m here to tell you that you CAN overcome them. Don’t let despair and fear keep you from claiming what is truly yours. Stand up for yourself and believe that YOU ARE WORTHY of HAPPINESS and PEACE OF MIND.
