Heavenly Father thank you for this new day that allows us to say, Thank You!

Thank you for the strength to persevere when we are weak.

Thank you for the courage to face our fears when all we may want to do sometimes is run away.

Thank you for your understanding that opens up our mind, our eyes, our hearts and spirits.

Thank you for your forgiveness because it shows us your mercy.

Thank you for your Word because it is food to our soul.

Thank you for your son Jesus Christ because He made the ultimate sacrifice when He chose to die so we could have life.

Thank you for your protection because without YOU we would surely perish.

Thank you for your favour in every aspect of our lives because it opens doors that NO man can shut.

Thank you for our families because we were not meant to go through life alone.

Thank you for good health and on the days when we don’t feel 100%, we will thank you anyway and trust that our healing is on the way.

Thank you for the being the Light in the darkness guiding and directing our steps.

Thank you for being the provider that You are. That all we have to do is ask and put our trust in You and ALL of our cares, concerns and burdens will be taken care of.

Thank you that you are a God of purpose and as your children we also have a purpose.

Thank you that even in our weak moments all we have to do is call Your name and we will be strengthened.

Thank you for blessing us with gifts and talents not for our own amusement but for them to be a blessing to others.

Thank you for giving us peace of mind and spirit that we can seek and hear You more clearly as we walk through this journey called life.

Thank you for never leaving us for even in our stubbornness you are near.

Thank for loving us even in our imperfections because You know how great, special and amazing we are even when we can’t see it ourselves.

God, You continue to show us Your mercy and favour in our lives.  “Thank you” just does not seem sufficient so we will praise you everyday so we never forget where our peace, protection and prosperity comes from.

We understand that with every victory we receive in Your name that the challenges would become greater but we choose to praise your name even more because no challenge we could ever face is greater than YOU – so we know that our victory would be great also.

Thank you in advance for the victories and breakthroughs we will experience in Jesus name, Amen!

Thank you for making this blog one of your stops in this journey called life.

Have a blessed week.

Farewell and Thank You 2017

design-2711676__340

Today is the 31st of December, officially the last day of 2017 and I just wanted to give thanks for the ALL that I endured, learned and achieved over the last few months.

2017 without a doubt had its challenging moments for the majority of the year right up to June to be exact.  However, I refused to lose faith and hope and believed with all my being that things just had to get better.

Giving up was just not an option I could afford. My efforts to improve my situation just seemed to never be enough so I turned to God.  I got to a point where I believed only a miracle could resolve all of my problems.  I prayed and prayed and declared over my life that this year was going to be the beginning of a new chapter, a better and brighter chapter of my life and ALL that was holding me back would be no more.

And you know what, God delivered me and my family from the constraints, obstacles and limitations that seemed to plague us for years.  He gave us a clean and fresh slate. No we didn’t win the lottery but honestly I prayed that we would but God had different  plans for us.  I’m just as satisfied with the alternative.

2017 has given me so much to be grateful for.

  1. I started my very own blog on January 31st 2017 titled livingvsexisting.com.  This has given me much joy and greater purpose in my life.
  2. God created a way out of financial debt when I could not see any.   With God nothing is impossible.  No problem is too big or too small for Him. Trust me. 🙂
  3. God through his grace has blessed my family with a new vehicle.
  4. God brought me to this blogging community and gifted me with the pleasure of meeting and learning from some very amazing, talented and special people who I would probably not have met if I had not taken that step on January 31st 2017 to join.
  5. God has blessed my family with so much this year after years and years of obstacles, challenges and limitations that at some points I thought he had forgotten about us.  I realize now that he needed us to endure and work through the pain and not lose faith and hope.  He was testing our commitment to the process and ultimately to Him.
  6. The strength and power that comes from having a strong support system encouraging and cheering for your success.  My family has definitely been that force in my life and for them I am forever grateful.
  7. God’s protection throughout the year not only over myself but each and every member of my family and our dwellings.  His precious blood, favour and mercy has kept the enemy at bay and we are truly grateful for this.
  8. The woman who I am becoming. 🙂
  9. My writing skills and material has improved and grown so much in this time.
  10. The wisdom and knowledge that I have acquired that has helped to not only improve my life but the lives of those who read my posts.
  11. The support and encouragement I have received from this blogging community as well as other supporters of my blog.  I am genuinely thankful for each of you. May God continue to bless you all.
  12. Seeing God’s favour at work in my life.

You see my friends no matter how challenging 2017 was I’ve learnt that we have to trust in the bigger picture.  The challenging moments are meant to prepare us for what is to come.  You need to persevere!  Sometimes in order to do that we need to look past the difficulty and look towards a brighter and better future. Don’t see yourself as stuck but rather as passing through.

As we leave 2017 behind let us leave the negative experiences behind choosing to take with us the lessons learnt along the way and the happy moments we’ve had.

May 2018 be everything God wants for you and more. God has not forgotten about you.  Trust in Him and He WILL see you through.

Have a wonderful day. Happy New Year in advance from my family to yours.

The big day has finally arrived and yes, after all of the preparations the hustling and bustling it feels good to finally slow down and just take it all in with dear friends and family.

I want to wish each and every one of you a Merry Christmas.  🙂   I trust that you are all having a wonderful day and wanted to say, thank you!  Thank you for your continued support and encouragement.  I am truly grateful.

  • I want to thank God for each of you. May he continue to bless, guide and protect you.
  • I want to thank God for always making a way even when we can’t seem to find one.
  • I want to thank God for always being there guiding and protecting us even when we don’t see him.  I know there have been times when things could have gone terribly wrong and I felt and saw his protection working in my life. Thank you Lord!
  • I want to thank God for the simple things, the little and the big things.
  • Thank you Lord for the lives of the people you are working behind the scenes to deliver their breakthroughs sooner than later as you did for me.  Give them a sign and reassure them that they are not alone and that things will work out.

Thank you Lord for this Christmas and all that you have blessed us with.  May we always have your favour and blessing in and over our lives.

Have a wonderful Christmas and remember to give thanks.

Grateful

Good Morning and pleasant Monday greetings to you all.

I am sorry for my inactivity over the last few days but around this time of the year for my family and I it gets intensely hectic as we typically host our Annual Christmas Extravaganza.

I am pleased to report that the event was a success and just keeps getting better and better every year!  Our supporters left happy and satisfied not only with their food and products but with the high quality of service they received.  This made us so happy.  A tremendous amount of work and time goes into the planning, decorating and cooking so it is always good to see and hear their satisfaction and appreciation for all we do.

thank-you-394180__340

We are very grateful for their continued support and we know that the first-time supporters would definitely be back next year.  God has been and continues to be good to us and we just want to say, THANK YOU Lord for ALL you do, have done and will do in our lives as well as the lives of the people we are fortunate to be a part of.

This event would not be the success that it is without the amazing team we have. I am and will always be grateful for my family.  I pray and ask God to continue to bless, protect and guide each and every one of us in all that we do.

Have a wonderful day everyone and remember to be grateful for everything you have no matter how little or insignificant you may think it is.  To someone less fortunate your blessing is a big deal and would make a big difference in his or her life.

Dear Dad Letter

Dear Dad,

On this very special day we want to publicly say, we love you!

Our relationship is not perfect. In fact, we’ve only recently started working on it.

We’ve let down our shields in effort to heal the once broken places.  Yes, it was hard at times but it got easier.  We talk more and we follow-up with each other.  It means a lot to know you are there, praying for us and wanting to be near.

You have your own way of doing things and we’ve come to respect and accept that.   However, even with our differences, we are still one.  We look at you and listen and we see some aspects of ourselves in you or is it you in us.

You are creative, analytical, skilful, innovative, tough, resilient, generous, a problem solver, always willing and helpful to others.  Even though you were not always there it seems some good parts of you from birth your children share.  🙂

In this journey of life we have come to learn that forgiveness is the answer to many of life’s problems.  It starts the process of healing and is the catalyst for new beginnings.   God put us together for a reason.  We all have lessons to learn and this is not about young or old but building  relationships more precious than gold.

While you are still alive, we want to take this opportunity to say,  we forgive you.  We’re not here to judge you but simply say that through it all, we still love you.

Happy Father’s Day!

From: Cherylene, Candice and Junior  🙂
