You will love again

“Never again, will I love again!” said the angry and hurt woman through her window pane

Her lover left her a note

And apparently, she had no vote

As she read and I quote,

“My love, I can no longer pretend

and so our relationship must end.

I’m off to see the world so I leave

you these few pieces of gold.”

Feeling broken and ashamed

She built walls of stone around her heart

Thinking it would be safe there hidden in the dark

Then one day a stranger came

And her life would never be the same

He broke down her walls with his love

And now once again she was as gentle as a dove

She tried to fight the feelings inside

But her love for him she could not hide

He became her groom and she became his bride

Her true love found her in the dark

And his love for her brought back her spark
